The Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium (JAIS) is a prestigious new stadium located 15 km south of Kuwait City, in the Farwaniya Governorate of Ardiya Industrial Area on the 6th Ring Road. Built on 40,000 sq. mtrs, with a constructed area of 72,000 sq. mtrs, it can accommodate 65,000 spectators. The foundation was laid on 12th Mar 2005 and the stadium was handed over to The Public Authority for Youth and Sports (PAYS) on 24th May 2009. The stadium has been designed in the shape of a horse saddle and consists of 4 floors, 11 entrance gates and all modern amenities. The Stadium was built at a cost of KWD 59 Million and is set to be Kuwaitðs premier stadium for holding sports and cultural events.
